Bandra Falcons blanks St Andrews 5-0

Mumbai, February 22 Bandra Falcons thrashed St Andrews 5-0 in the first round of the boys under-18, in the Mumbai FC Junior Champs football tournament played at the St Andrew's School ground, on Friday.

In the boys u-14, J B Khot 'A' beat St Francis School 1-0 and J B Khot 'B" got better of Don Bosco 1-0. In the boys u-10 St Stanislaus High School crushed Learners Academy 9-0.

Bandra Falcons who led 3-0 at half time found St Andrew's boys could not match them in speed & skills and ultimately lost by a bigger margin. Ronak Jilleinger, Randen Gomes , K Nazreth, Zyed and Ricken Dang scored each for the Bandra Falcons.

At Thakur College, Kandivali, a hat-trick by Daniel Samuels, who scored four goals and a brace by Sumit Ravindran helped St Stanislaus High School to beat Learners Academy 4-0 in the boys u-14 first round match.

Boys u-14: J B Khot 'A' 4 (Ronak Patel 4) bt St. Francis School 0; J B Khot 'B' 1 (Joannes Periar 1) bt Don Bosco 0. Boys u-10: St Stanislaus School 9 (Rubin Fernandes 4, Blake D'souza 1, Druv Cardoza 1, Ryan D'souza 2, Kevin Baners 1) bt Learners Academy 0.

At Thakur College, Kandivali: Boys u-18: Football Rockers bt St. Thomas 5-0; Don Bosco 4 (Clyod Naronha 1, Brian Buthelo 1, Denzil Joshuwa 1, Zinto Josh 1) bt F C Lion 3 (Amey Sawant 1, Anish Save 1, Aditya Bhat 1). Boys u-14: St Stanislaus 8 (Daniel Samuel 4, Zen Irani 1, Sumit Ravindran 2, Romario Rodriques 1) bt Learners Academy 0.
