Hisar Abita, who sustained burn injuries in a fire that engulfed her house in a village in Bhiwani on Tuesday, which claimed lives of her four children, died at the PGI on Wednesday. Her husband Shiv Kumar and her 10-year-old daughter Komal, who also received burn injuries, are recuperating in the Rohtak hospital.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced Rs 5 lakh as relief to the bereaved family. The district administration has decided to bear all the medical expenses. While the police are working on the theory of an accident, people living nearby suspect it to be a case of suicide, saying that the family could have easily escaped the fire.

A police team led by Bhiwani SDM Girish Arora visited the spot to assess the situation. Police officials refused to comment on the theory of suicide, saying that they have not received any complaint regarding any strained relations between the couple. The bodies of all five victims have been handed over to their relatives after post-mortem . Proceedings under Section 174 have been initiated after recording the statement of Shiv Kumar, said a senior police officer.
