Ludhiana, March 4 A Meeting of the medical biochemists of the state was held in the city today.

About 50 faculty members and post-graduate students participated in the CME. A guest lecture on ‘Electro chemiluminescence: A Novel way of Immunodiagnostics’ was delivered. The session was chaired by Dr Gurdip Bedi , Professor and Head, GMC, Patiala.

The Punjab Chapter of AMBI (Association of Medical Biochemist of India) was also constituted. The objective of the association is to improve and improvise the existing facilities for better patient care in clinical labs, and to upgrade teaching facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

The following faculty members were appointed as the office-bearers of association. President: Dr Kiranjit Kaur, Principal, Medical College, Jalandhar. Secretary: Dr Navjot Bajwa, DMCH, Ludhiana. Treasurer: Dr Kuldip S Sodhi, GMC, Amritsar. Joint Secretary: Dr Bharti Uppal, CMC, Ludhiana. Executive Members: Dr Gurdip Bedi, GMC, Patiala, Dr Nisha Bhandari, SGRD, Amritsar, Dr Amrit K, AIMS, Bathinda, Dr Panag, GMC Faridkot , Dr C Vij, GMC Patiala, Dr Navpreet Kaur, DMCH, Ludhiana, Dr Madhu Maingi, AIMS, Bathinda.
