Solan, February 1 Pledging to eliminate the notion of change of power after every five years in this hilly state, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party would ensure strengthening of coordination between the government and party organisation at all levels.

Talking to mediapersons, in charge of party affairs in the state Satya Pal Jain today said the two-day meeting of the party’s state executive and leaders being held at Solan would discuss all these issues at length.

He said the party would constitute committees at all levels to ensure the active involvement of the party’s rank and file in the policies and programmes of the government.

“We would initiate necessary action for the active participation of each worker in the government’s policies and programmes to educate the masses about welfare oriented schemes and programmes,” said Jain.

He said the party would hold meetings at district as well as block levels and communication between workers and government would be strengthened up to the Vidhan Sabha level.

He said the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would implement its national executive decision to give one-third reservation to women in the party. Under the decision, reservation would also be given in the party’s posts and while making nominations.

Targeting the Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for overlooking women’s interests, he questioned why these parties were not showing interest in introducing the women’s reservation Bill despite the fact that both parties have chosen women as their party chiefs. This clearly indicated that the Congress was not serious towards safeguarding women’s interests across the country, he alleged. He termed the BJP’s decision of providing one-third reservations as historic.

Turning to the issue of discipline in the party, Jain said after receiving a large number of complaints concerning anti-party activities during the recent Assembly elections, a special committee has been formed which would look into all such complaints.
