New Delhi A city court has sent six suspected terrorists of the Indian Mujahideen to 14-day judicial custody.

Mohammed Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Saqib Nisar, Zia-Ur-Rehman, Mohd Shakeel and Mohd Hakim, accused in the September 13 serial blasts case, were produced in the court by the Special Cell in connection with the blasts in Connaught Place.

On Monday, the court had remanded the accused to two-day police custody to facilitate their interrogation in their specific roles in the blasts at Children’s Park. The police had contended that the accused needed to be interrogated about the planning and execution of the blasts. According to the police, Saif had planted the bombs in dustbins near Regal Cinema and at Children’s Park with co-accused Zia-ur Rehman and Sajid, who was killed in the Batla House encounter on September 19. Hakim had allegedly arranged for the ball-bearings used in making the bombs, the police had said.
