Board exams begin, students find the going easy

Ludhiana, March 1 The annual board examinations of Class VIII and XII conducted by Punjab School Education Board, Mohali, and of Class XII conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, began today.

The Class VIII students of School Board were happy after appearing for their English examination. Said Suddam Hussain, a student, “The paper was very easy, and I hope to get good marks.”

Students of Shaheed-E-Azam Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Bharat Nagar, said, “ ‘Well begun is half done’, and we hope that the rest of the exams go equally well.”

In the evening shift, the examination of Environmental Education for Class XII was conducted. Said Ravneet Kaur, a candidates, “The question paper was interesting, and we could finish it in the stipulated time.”

The annual examination of Class XIIth of Central Board of Secondary Education also started today. The first paper was that of science. Keerat Sandhu, a student of Nankana Sahib Senior Secondary School, Gill Road, said that the paper was easy. Preeti, another student of the same school and Nikhar of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, said, “It was a good question paper.” Nishi of Alpine International School nodded in agreement.

Many teachers were anxiously waiting for their students outside the examination centers. After the examination, they discussed the question paper with the students.
