Body of two-day old infant found

Ludhiana The Sarabha Nagar police on Thursday found the body of two-day-old baby boy on the banks of a water body in Barewal area. The body was packed in a gunny bag.

SHO Sarabha Nagar Devinder Chaudhry said, “We received the information about the body in the afternoon on Thursday. No one has claimed to have seen anyone dumping this little boy. The little boy was packed in a bag normally used for packing flour.”

The SHO added that the body had been sent for a post-mortem report and a case under sections 315, 318 of the IPC Act had been registered against unknown persons.
