Members from 23 branches of the Bank of India Staff unions across the country kicked off a two-day convention today to discuss labour issues. "We are demanding that the bank begin the recruitment process. There are plans to open branches across the country but how can the operations run if there is a staff crunch," said J S Bailur, president, Federation of Bank of India Staff unions. Other prominent issues included the govt proposal on e merger of banks and proposed incentive scheme.
