"There were no explosive materials in the bottle. Someone had played a mischief," said police sub-inspector BS Chawda.
According to the police, an unknown person called the LIC office and warned them that a bomb was planted in the office premises, which would explode soon.
After receiving the information from the LIC branch manager, police swung into action.
The building was evacuated by a bomb disposal squad accompanied by sniffer dogs.
"The LIC office number does not have a caller ID facility due to which the number could not be traced. We have contacted BSNL to trace the number from which the call was made. The caller made conversation in Gujarati," Chawda added.
