Booze party: one dead

Pune, February 29 A Booze party in the backyard of a house in Jawalekarnagar, Pimple Gurav ended in a tragedy after painter named Sanjaykumar Bhunival (40) being shot dead. Bhunival’s wife Kanta had registered a complaint with the Sangvi police who arrested the accused Langdya alias Sanjay Daulat Pardhi and Charudatt Vishwas Lembe (36).

According to Kanta’s statement to the police, the three had assembled in an open ground behind their houses for drinking and an spat between had resulted in the accused shooting her husband using a countrymade pistol. The police said that Bhunival’s relations with his parents had been estanged due to his father’s disapproval of his friend circle. A police complaint of sexual harassment had also been filed against Bhunival, by a relative.
