Charging the present Congress and and the former two state governments of neglecting the constituency, he said that while neighbouring Gurgaon had been getting massive funds, Faridabad had been deprived of the developmental process and given a “step-motherly treatment”.
Sharma said his first priority for Faridabad would be development of infrastructure. The industry is in a very bad shape now, though at one time Faridabad was known for its industrial development, he said.
He said that though it is just over a month now since he was declared the party candidate, he had vigorously toured the constituency and has managed to cover about 70 to 80 per cent of the region till yet.
He claimed that the Haryana Janhit Congress had no future in the state. Sharma added that most of the office-bearers of the HJC were now joining the BSP, while some had gone to the Congress.
