Kolkata Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is not getting the worst only of his friends and foes. On Wednesday his office was left powerless literally. For around 14 minutes, the chief minister’s office at the Writers’ Buildings and the adjacent corridors remained without electricity.

Bhattacharjee was present at the office when power supply got disrupted and emergency lights were put in use. State Secretariat sources said the disruption of power was caused by a local snag.
