The Budget Session of the West Bengal Assembly will begin on March 9 with Finance Minister Ashim Dasgupta presenting the budget on March 22. The session will start with the address of Governor M K Narayanan on March 9. The House will discuss the Governor’s address for four days beginning March 15, said Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim. On whether any Bill would be placed in the session, the Speaker said a number of Bills were scheduled, but so far he had not received any. A condolence resolution on the demise of CPM veteran and former chief minister Jyoti Basu will be moved in the Assembly on March 10, he added.
