Jalandhar, February 25 Buses were today allotted to the Akali-BJP leaders outside the District Administrative Complex (DAC) for the Insaaf Rally to be held in New Delhi tomorrow.

A serpentine queue of private buses, which would start journey tonight, was seen along the boundary wall of DAC main gate. Akali and BJP leaders were reportedly pressurising the officers to get more buses.

Earlier, the District Transporter Officer (DTOs) of the state were instructed to arrange 100 to 150 buses from each district for the rally. The government had told the DTOs to arrange at least 20 to 25 buses per constituency, which means about 1,600 buses from the entire state. The DTOs had in turn asked transports of their respective districts to spare their buses.

One of the DTOs in the Doaba region said they have been arranging buses for the past over ten days and this has hit their official work.
