Jalilov, head of the delegation, who has come from Tajikistan, told ENS, “We are hopeful of generating business of 100 million dollars as we are looking for import of items such as agriculture equipment, diesel parts, electronic items, optical fibres, switches, textile machinery, etc. In addition to this, we are also looking for business partners in India for product manufacturing.”
The representatives are from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Russia. Today they met owners of King Exports, who are making building material, and Emsons Limited and Bharat International, who are dealing with auto parts. Though the exact business deal was not disclosed, the owners said something positive did materialise.
S.C. Ralhan, chairman, EEPC, north region, said, “Till now, these countries were taking products from European and Chinese markets, but now they want to explore the Indian market. The exporters should also explore this market as the business is beyond 100 million dollars if we are serious enough.”
Talking to ENS, Arusyak Karaja, marketing manager, Yerevan Telecom Solutions, Armenia, said, “Europe is costlier than the Indian market and not very flexible, while Chinese products are not of very good quality. Hence we wanted to look for some other options. After visiting a few units here, we found good quality products in Ludhiana factories.”
