Canpex Group enters mobile handset business

Pune City-based Canpex Group, engaged in chemicals manufacturing and water treatment business has now forayed into Mobile Handsets business by launching 'Byond' range of mobile handsets. This was announced by Subhash Mutha, chairman of the Canpex Group, on Monday.

The Group has formed a new company 'Byond Tech' to handle this new venture and has set up a manufacturing base at Shenzhen in China. The company has established technical collaboration with Taiwan based Media Tek and USA's Qualcomm for GSM and CDMA technology respectively.

Prashant Bora, founder and CEO of Byond Tech said, "With the launch of 'Byond' range of mobile handsets we are introducing latest in dual SIM technology, where 'Byond' users will have a choice to use 2 SIM cards with a unique option of GSM + (GSM / CDMA), which was not available in India before."

Great technology and features at competitive price is the highlight of 'Byond' range of mobile handsets. Contemporary design and easy handling shall make it the most attractive offering for the customers.

The 'Byond' range of mobile handsets is encased in a stunning design with an equally impressive touch display screen, which will be available in the vibrant colors and designs connoting a cool style-statement. It will create a whole new touching experience with the fingertips literally playing on an amazingly lit responsive touch display.

With all regular features like camera, fm radio, mp3 player, audio-video recording, blue tooth, memory card, high quality stereo ear phone and USB cable with charger the 'Byond' range of mobile handsets will initially launch 8 different models of handsets and will be priced between Rs.2500 and Rs.6500. Sven models of those will be with dual SIM technology and one amongst them will be with the GSM + (GSM / CDMA) option.
