Chandigarh The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Corporation (CITCO) has decided to fix a maximum limit of 25 per cent discount on privileged cards in CITCO hotels. In a meeting held by the Board of Directors on Wednesday, discrepancies amounting to lakhs of rupees were detected in CITCO accounts. Sources said CITCO plans to issue chargesheets to all the responsible officials soon.

Under the prevailing system, CITCO was offering discounts up to 50 per cent to senior functionaries of the government, who were the privileged cardholders of CITCO. According to the records, there are around 150 such privileged cardholders.

The privileged cardholders include the present board members, former board members, present and former chief general managers, senior functionaries of the UT Administration, CITCO employees and journalists.
