Ludhiana ‘Vendeta politics’ will boomrang on SAD in coming polls, says Khangura

A local court today adjourned the case registered against Congress MLA from Kila Raipur, Jassi Khangura, till February 2. The MLA appeared in the court of the judicial magistrate, Amita Kaur.

Meanwhile a number of supporters of MLA Khangura came to lend him moral support outside the courts complex. After his court hearing, while addressing his supporters, Khangura said that this was not for the first time that Akali government had falsely implicated a Congress worker in a criminal case. “I have full faith in the judiciary and I just want to tell the Akali government to stop behaving in an irresponsible manner, otherwise the consequences will be very bad. In the coming Lok Sabha elections, Akalis will come to know where they stand in the eyes of voters,” Khanugra said.

Khangura claimed law-and-order situation was deteriorating in the state and the only thing in the state was the harassment of common people. “Badal is talking so much about the developmental issues, but I want to ask every Akali leader can they justify by example that whatever Akali government has announced is being done,” he said.

On elevation of Sukhbir Singh Badal as Deputy CM, Khangura said that Badal family has spent nearly Rs 3 crore for this function, which was a complete wastage of public funds. He said that these funds could rather be used for the better development of Punjab. On this occasion, Lal Singh Bhikhi, Bhagwant Singh Bhikhi, Joginder Singh Jangi, Harinder Pal Singh, Babu Singh Jhamat, Raghunandan Sharma, Laddi Sharma, Jagtar Singh Bhutta, Parminder Singh Latala, Pargat Aliwal and Gurpreet Khangura were present.
