Cash, valuables worth Rs 1.55 lakh stolen from Sola house

Ahmedabad Cash and valuables worth over Rs 1.55 lakh were stolen from the house of a Sola resident, Vipul Patel, on Wednesday afternoon.

The theft took place around 2.30 pm when the Patels were attending a wedding in the city, the police said.

Some unidentified person/s broke into Patel’s house on the ninth floor of Nirwam Tower and decamped with cash and jewellery, according to the complainant.

The thieves broke into the house after removing metal grills on one of the windows, the police said.

“We are probing the possibility of an insider’s involvement,” said Inspector N R Chauhan of Sola police.
