Commissioner of Income Tax (New Delhi), Lav Kumar Saksena (a 1979 batch IRS officer) was working in the IT audit department in the Capital. CBI officials reportedly raided his office at Jhandewalan and his rented residence in Vasant Vihar, while searches were also conducted in Delhi, Kanpur and Bangalore.
CBI officials have reportedly recovered incriminating documents, including details of several bank accounts, plots, flats and commercial properties in Delhi. Saksena reportedly owns a house in Kanpur, a plot in Kaushambi (Ghaziabad), a plot in Vasant Kunj, a flat in Gurgaon, a plot and a shop in Bangalore, 13 bank accounts with an aggregate deposit of Rs 66 lakh and demat accounts with investments of Rs 1 crore.
