Chandigarh Anuradha Bali alias Fiza claims to have been informed that her husband, former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan aka Chand Mohammad will appear before her within five days to “clear the air”. Addressing a media conference at her home on Sunday, Fiza said she would continue her fight if her husband tried to back out.

“According to what I have been told, he will surely appear in five days. If he doesn’t, I am going to fight till the end,” she said.

She, however, refused to divulge how the message reached her and what action she was likely to take.

“If he thinks I will go back on my words, he is mistaken. If he is backing out, he has to make things clear. Why is he hiding?” Fiza asked.

Chander Mohan, who married Fiza two months ago after converting to Islam, suddenly disappeared on January 28 only to be traced in Delhi the same evening in an inebriated condition. While he is yet to officially return to Chandigarh, Fiza had, earlier this week, served an ultimatum on Chand to return by February 7 or face consequences.
