Chandigarh, March 6 A pall of gloom descended on the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan when his 14 year-old-son, Mohit Bishnoi, died today after a prolonged illness. Mohit breathed his last at the Fortis Hospital, Mohali, in the afternoon. His last rites would be performed tomorrow at Ramgarh farm house on the Barwala road.

Indisposed for the past few months, Mohit, suffering from a hereditary disease, had reportedly not been responding to medicines of late. Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed shock and grief over the sad and sudden demise of Master Mohit.

In a condolence message issued here today, Hooda said it was very shocking that Master Mohit had passed away at such a tender age. Hooda conveyed his heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.

Power Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana and former minister Harpal Singh, besides a lot of other people, paid a visit to the Deputy Chief Minister’s residence to express their condolence.
