Chandigarh Police XI register a convincing 88-run win

Chandigarh, January 19 A Fine all-round display by Ramandeep Singh (41, 3 for 4) enabled Chandigarh Police XI to register a 88-run victory over Press XI in a friendly match organised by the Chandigarh Police held at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium here on Saturday.

Batting first, a formidable Chandigarh Police XI scored 193 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chandigarh SSP SS Srivastav, DSP Jagbir Singh and ASP Madhur Verma also were part of Chandigarh Police XI. Vishal played a blazing knock of 86 runs, while Ramadeep Singh played a cameo innings of 41 runs to place their team in a commanding position. From Press XI left-hand/medium-pacer, Kamleshwar Singh bowled a brilliant spell to scalp 3 wickets.

In reply, Press XI were restricted to a paltry score of 105 in 19.3 overs. Rohit (42) emerged as the top-scorer. Ramandeep Singh was wrecker-in-chief picking up 3 for 4.
