For her costumes, Basu made sure that she stayed away from anything even remotely similar to what Mallika Sherawat wore on the last New Year’s Eve — a G-string, that drew the ire of the city moral police. As she sizzled in a little red dress, the Bengali bombshell made it up with her oomph factor. However, most revelers, who had paid a pretty penny for the big night, left the party after Basu’s performance, leaving the venue rather sparse for the rest of the night.
