Chatha Committee report to be submitted by March 7

Ambala, March 4 The Chatha Committee report is likely to be submitted to the Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, before the commencement of the Budget Session on March 7.

According to sources, after receiving the report state government would take decision on the issue of a separate gurdwara management committee for Haryana.

According to Haryana Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha, the Sikhs of Haryana have filed over 3.5 lakh affidavits to support their demand for the separate gurdwara management committee.

The Congress government in Haryana had constituted the committee headed by Chatha to look into the demands of the Sikhs as promised in its election manifesto during the Assembly elections.
