Better late than never?
We see many strange things on television, but the strangest yet is bound to be the Ibiza special episode on NDTV Good Times’ I’m Too Sexy for my Shoes, which aired last night. Host Ambika Anand gave a crash course on this season’s best beachwear and also discoursed on what kind of swimwear is suited for which body type. A bonus was Kingfisher model Preeti

Desai who let viewers in on her secret for a bikini-ready body. We get all that, but why should a swimsuit special air in July when the monsoon is already in full swing?

Voice choice
After hunts for singers, dancers and actors, we now have a hunt for voice-over actors. Zee Café’s latest reality show— Café Mic Testing— goes on air today and is already inundated with entries. The show will be hosted by VJ Sarah Jane Dias and will put the contestants through a battery of tasks like creating sound effects with their voices, imitating foreign accents, belting out spontaneous radio jingles to absolutely crazy things like singing while running on the treadmill and stuffing their faces with doughnuts while trying tricky tongue twisters. The winner will go on to be the voice of the channel.

Old is gold
For 67 year old Tabassum, making a comeback was a tough task. However, despite her failing health, her joie de vivre is something which even today’s generation would not be able to match. On Zee TV’s Ladies Special, where she’s a judge, the veteran actress wears special saris which weigh only up to 60 grams. Because of several injuries sustained on her legs, she is unable to drape normal saris. However, regardless of her old age and the physical ailments, she is extremely enthusiastic and spirited and doesn’t lose any opportunity to crack jokes or dance with the contestants and even gives away a golden belan to the best performer of the week. As they say, you’re as old as you feel.
