Making waves
A High-profile boat show brings out the social butterflies like nothing else does. The Samira Mumbai International Boat Show 2009, which was flagged off in the Bandra-Kurla Complex, on February 19 and is on till Sunday, showcased a breathtaking range of boats and yachts. From sail boats, jet skis and speed boats to motor and sail yachts, luxury yachts and super yachts, water vessels from the world’s leading international brand names like Azimut, Ferretti, Gulfcraft, Searay, Larson, Princess and Majesty were on display. Also being showcased were boat engines, boat clubs, water sports equipment and boat accessories.

Appropriately enough, the guests included many names that make up the Indian rich and beautiful list— Adi Godrej, Ness Wadia, Salil Chaturvedi, Uraz Bahl, Anju Dutta, Jamshed Godrej, Sanjay

Manjrekar, DP Goel, Mugdha Godse, Karishma Tanna, Raman Lamba, Riyad Kundanmul, Alisha Chauhan with son Nicolai and head of marketing at Ferretti Yachts, Guiseppe Zecchin. Adding the final element to the evening was a fashion show of resort-wear designed byBabita Malkani.

Bummer We missed Ness’ prettier half, Preity Zinta, and her dollops of glamour.
