Chill thrills
Nisha Jamvwal and Carlsberg India MD Pradeep Gidwani hosted a fabulous brunch at the Four Seasons recently to celebrate India’s success at the Oscars. What connection they had with the Oscar winning films remains a mystery, but sometimes one doesn’t need an excuse to throw a party. A good party is, however, judged by the diversity of its guests-we saw models Viveka Babajee and Anupama Verma, fashion designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed, actresses Gul Panag and Mandira Bedi, and even writers Rashmi Uday Singh and Anish Trivedi.

Showstopper Given the recent outbreak of summer, chilled Carlsberg was the perfect antidote for the heat and accompanied by the excellent spread made for a fantastic afternoon-Jai ho or otherwise.

Busy bee
Shilpa Shetty is on a roll these days. After having purchased a share in the IPL team, Rajasthan Royals, the actress, on Tuesday, launched another business venture. Shetty announced her 50 per cent stake in Iosis Medispa with Kiran Bawa over lunch at the Taj Lands End, Bandra. Dressed in her favourite animal print, holding a Chanel clutch the size of a folder, the leggy lass unveiled the new look and logo of Iosis. Bawa, in contrast, chose a traditional white Lucknowi churidar-kurta. The two partners addressed a few media queries before cutting a cake to mark the occassion.

Showstopper Shetty was much before time and the event was, for a change, delayed because the guests walked in late.
