Still rocking on
Rock On!!! may be half-a-year old, but it is still topping the success charts. This prompted its director Abhishek ‘Gattu’ Kapoor to throw a party. Everyone from the cast and crew, to friends and colleagues showed up to celebrate the Sunday afternoon away at suburban hotspot, Olive Kitchen and Bar in Mumbai. First to arrive was filmmaker Rohan Sippy wearing a bright orange shirt that perfectly complimented the summer mood. Following suit were Ayub and Niharika Khan, and Purab and Yamini Kohli. Mehr Jesia and Bhavna Pandey dressed in printed flowing dresses looked all set to beat the heat. Arjun Rampal in white trousers stood out in the crowd. Shahana Goswami made an appearance minus boyfriend Milind Soman. The current ‘It’ boy of Bollywood Farhan Akhtar came with wife Adhuna and father Javed Akhtar. Ritesh Sidhwani was spotted sharing a drink with Zoya Akhtar and designer duo Nandita Mahtani and Surily Goel. Luke Kenny was seen spending time with Prachi Desai for most part of the party. Also present were Jeetendra, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.

Showstopper Looking gorgeous in a bright yellow top was

Twinkle Khanna, who posed for shutterbugs and made conversation with everybody.

Musical message
Endless books may be written to raise awareness about Mumbai’s rich cultural heritage, but ultimately, you need something like music to truly catch people’s attention. Mumbai Sanskruti, a two-day music festival held on the steps of the Asiatic Society building, on March 7 and 8 was one such attempt. Artistes Sivamani, Niladri Kumar, Louis Banks and Selva Ganesh performed at the event which was organised by Anita Garware of the Indian Heritage Society and Shashi Vyas of Pancham Nishad. The audience of music aficionados included some well-known names like actresses Sonali Bendre and Gayatri Joshi and writer Gita Piramal.
Showstopper When a group of consummate musicians performs at a site as beautiful as the Asiatic Society, then the evenings are bound to be magical.
