Chikka shot a round of even par 70 to win by five strokes. Fifteen-year-old Ashbeer S Saini improved his standing to finish second, behind Chikka, one stroke better than Rashid Khan. Rashid played his third consecutive round of two over 72 to slip to third place that brought down the curtains on his run of consecutive wins.

Ashbeer, with a round of even par 70 maintained his supremacy in Category B, winning the title in the U-15 group by a margin of 10 strokes. Tarandeep Chadha failed to repeat his third round performance but still ensured a second place finish in this group with a round of six over 76.

There was an exciting finish in the under-12 group where Viraj Madappa tied Honey Baisoya with a four-day total of 295. The lead in this group changed hands between the two players through the week before Honey Baisoya emerged victorious after the playoff.

Delhi lad Piyush Sangwan continued his winning run in Category D, carding a fine round of 67 to win by 12 strokes.

Prakhar Asawa matched Piyush’s final round score but was never really in contention as a brilliant third round score of six under 64 provided Piyush with a comfortable cushion over the rest of the field. Starting the round four strokes behind Chikka, Rashid needed to get off to a great start but a double-bogey start put him out of contention and Chikka was never really threatened after that Chikka had to play solid golf and he did just that, making his way around the course with birdies on all the par-5 holes which made up for the bogeys, two each on the front-nine and back-nine. In the end, a four-day total of two under 278 was good enough for a win at the Tollygunge Club.
