Aryans Institutes of Management and Technology
The Aryans Institutes of Management and Technology (AIMT) celebrated Lohri on Monday with nearly 130 students participating in the function that offered a host of cultural performances. Anshu Kataria, chairman, Aryans Group of Institutes, presided over the function. With a bonfire warming the ambience, gachak, rewari, moongfali and other eatables were distributed among those present.

MC’s year for the girl child
The Women Empowerment Committee of the Municipal Corporation dedicated Lohri celebrations this year to the girl child. Various cultural events were performed by students of DAV College, Sector 10, Government College for Girls, Sector 42, KBDAV School and Ankur School among others at the Terraced Garden in Sector 33. Mayor Kamlesh was the chief guest while Municipal Commissioner Dr Roshan Sunkaria was the guest of honour for the function.

Shemrock International School
At Shemrock School, Lohri was celebrated with a number of bhangra and giddha on various Punjabi songs. A huge bonfire was also lit by parents and teachers.
