After hearing the arguments on the bail application, the Sessions Judge reserved the order for January 12. Khangura’s defence counsel Ashok Bhakri claimed that his client was innocent, and had been falsely implicated by Vigilance Bureau (VB) due to political vendetta.
He also denied the allegations leveled against Gurdial Kaur by the Bureau. He claimed that her name did not figure in the FIR regarding the case. The defence counsel also claimed that the former trustee had already joined the investigation, as and when called by the officials of VB, and VB had also not arrested her.
The judge also reserved the orders on the bail applications filed by Sanjev Gupta, Sourav Gupta and SAH Naqvi for January 12.
