City doctor delivers Venkat Rao lecture

Ludhiana Dr (Prof) Tej K Kaul, former professor and head of anaesthesiology department of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, delivered the prestigious Venkat Rao Oration at SN Medical College Hospital, Jodhpur during the 56th annual national conference of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISACON 2008) held from December 25 to 29. The conference was attended by more than 3,500 anaesthesiologists of the country and abroad.

Dr Tej K Kaul was selected for this oration by the governing council of this society (ISA). The oration delivered was titled “Anaesthesiology - the speciality of dreams” and this special session was chaired by Dr KRN Tagore, national president of ISA. The oration entitled Prof Kaul for the prestigious robes, silver plaque and a cash award. It was conferred to him by Dr Tagore at the conclusion of the oration amid standing ovation from the audience. The lecture was appreciated by one and all.

Dr Kaul is also the chief editor of “Journal of anaesthesiology clinical pharmacology,” an indexed international journal.
