City firm develops software for legal practitioners

Pune Uberall Solutions Ltd, a Pune based product development company came out with a sophisticated product suite named Umberall Law-specialised for all type of legal practitioners to fully integrate and manage their complete day-to-day law practice.

The fully integrated time and billing practice management solution enables law firms to complete automat their processes including practice management, case information, calendaring, conflict searches, contact management, document management, human resource management and payroll among others.

"We have also built-in a specialised module for intellectual property management which includes application management for home and foreign filing of patents, trademarks, design, copyrights, journal search with a customer login facility for them to keep track of their application status," said, Pravin Kulkarni, Uberall.

The product is currently suited for large law firms. According to its director Parimal P Chanchani Uberall has plans to further develop and modularise the product to suit different practice areas including mid-sized and smaller law firms, other professional services organizations, accounting firms and even individual practicing attorneys.

Haigreve Khaitan, senior partner of India's corporate law firms Khaitan and Co. said " The product's incisive analytics provide in-depth insights into our business, empowering us to examine trends and take rapid action with agility to leverage opportunities and sustain growth strategies." The company also plans to take this niche product to outside the country to other growing markets.
