Vadodara On realising that the lower-rung officials did not give satisfactory replies to citizens' queries, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation has decided to send its senior officials for the public hearing as part of the CM Online programme.

Earlier, the officials of the executive engineer level used to remain present during the public hearing, which takes place on every second and fourth Thursday at the district collectorate.

"The letter in this connection has already been issued and from now onwards it will be the rank of deputy municipal commissioner, additional municipal commissioner and other senior officials who would represent the heads of the departments," said VMC commissioner M K Das.

The letter states Deputy Municipal Commissioner C M Makwana, Additional Municipal Commissioner A O Sharma, City Engineer V N Tailor and Additional City Engineer C B Jaiswal will remain present to solve the complains lodged by citizens on the CM Online.

"It was observed that junior officials were having problems while answering the complainants at the hearing. It is better to give public right information and solve their problems at the earliest," said Makwana.
