‘Comprehend subjects to make learning easier’

Chandigarh, February 29 The Regional Institute of English in Sector 32 organised its valedictory function today at its premises. Pradip Mehra, Advisor to the UT Administrator, was the chief guest at the function.

Emphasising the importance of English, Mehra said that more than half of the people in the world speak English. Learning part could be uninteresting and tedious but when things are well comprehended, it becomes easier and fascinating, he said.

On the occasion, Mehra released a book titled ‘Teaching Young Learners’ and gave prizes to the winners of various competitions including paper-reading competition, teaching competition, poetry recitation and creative writing. He also gave away the certificates to the successful trainees of PGCTE course.

Director, Regional Institute of English, Sharda Kaushik, read the annual report at the function. Raji P Shrivastava, Special Secretary Finance, was the guest of honour.
