Patiala A two-day conference on recent advances in chemical and environmental sciences concluded at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala on Sunday. A number of speakers, including Jagtar Singh, Aruna Bhatia, Baldev Singh and Parvin Pal Balgir among others, spoke on the occasion. Abhijit Mukherjee, director, Thapar University and R and D Centre, presided over the valedictory function. Ravi Kumar, a lecturer from Dyal Singh College, Karnal, was awarded Dr Lata Memorial Young Scientist Award and Hemant and Harsh from NIT, Jalandhar, bagged Bhajan Lal Arora Memorial Award.
