Mumbai Those who were hoping that Australian pop star Kylie Minogue will be singing in Hindi are set to be disappointed. Sources close to the movie Blue, which is touted as being the singer’s Bollywood debut, have confirmed that Minogue has sung for the movie only in English.

But the good news is that she has recorded two numbers — a duet with Sonu Nigam and a solo — both of which are AR Rahman compositions. Minogue is currently in town to shoot a video for the duet, which is a promotional track for the movie. Minogue will be matching steps with Akshay Kumar in the song which will be a peppy dance number, something the songbird specialises in.

The diminutive diva, who has consistently belted out chart-toppers and is a global pop icon, apparently met Rahman while he was in Los Angeles at a pre-Oscars party and complimented the composer on his work. At that time, talks were on for Minogue’s participation in Blue between the film’s producers and her team.

Minogue, who has so far been hospitably entertained by Kumar — he specially cooked a delicious lunch for her at his house on Thursday, will begin work on the video soon.

She will be in Mumbai for 10 days. Although it is being claimed that the singer’s schedule is too packed for sightseeing, she’s proclaimed her desire to go sightseeing, especially to Juhu beach.
