Contest on India’s growth potential at IIM fest

Lucknow, January 2 The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, is organising a competition namely — International Thought Challenge — in their upcoming annual festival, Manifest 2008.

The theme of the contest “Unlocking India’s Growth Potential” and will have contestants from across the world.

The winner will be crowned “International thought Champion” and will get a whopping amount of $3000.

“We have always believed in looking at horizons beyond the obvious which enhance quality and can add real time value to our country’s growth. Thus, this event is expected to bring out ideas for stable growth of the country,” said Ruchika Agarwal, Manfest committee member.

The aim is to call in international entries and get a global view of the India’s economic growth.

At the same time get a feel about the issues in India that hold importance to those living in other countries.

Also, the aim of the event is to find out “a strategy backed by a vision, which would enable India to harness its resources and reach a state of economic superiority and social well being”, she added.

The entire challenge will be in two phases. In the first phase, the participants will submit their papers. Later, the participants of the selected entries will be called at IIM-L campus to present their recommendations as a team as well as individually in front of the panel of judges.
