In the meeting, pending proposals like construction of dog pound, tourist bus parking at Sarangpur, birds slaughter house were discussed.
These issues are pending for long despite the fact that each year the Municipal Corporation makes provisions in the budget estimates for them.
The meeting was held at UT Secretariat and was headed by UT Advisor Pradip Mehra.
Others present at the meeting were Chandigarh Mayor Pardeep Chhabra, Home Secretary Krishna Mohan, Finance Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Municipal Commissioner R K Rao and chief engineers of UT Administration and Municipal Corporation.
In the meeting, Mayor Pardeep Chhabra took up the issues of building a drug de-addiction centre, primary health centre and primary schools in all villages.
Chhabra said that there should be no NOC for the residents seeking electricity connection in Burail village. He also stressed on the need for change in the by-laws of villages.
The problems faced by the traders at the furniture market, marble market in Dhanas were also discussed.
Chhabra also discussed the construction of dog pound in Maloya, multi-level parking in Sector 34, transfer of sector 38 and sector 48 after development.
Mayor also demanded to raise the height of houses from 22 feet to 33 feet in Dhanas village.
He said the villages should be provided with community centres for holding social functions for which the land should be earmarked.
