Jalandhar, January 11 Even after six days, the police could not get a clue in the murder of KMV principal Rita Bawa and her three employees. The police team, which had gone to Delhi, couldn't find any property angle.

Sources said she owned some property in Delhi, but had sold it long ago. Regarding her frequent visits to Delhi, the police said Bawa used to go to the UGC campus, as she wanted a plum post after retirement.

In Delhi, she used to stay at the residence of a senior retired PSEB officer, said sources. The police were also confused over the recovered Rs 37 lakh and 310 gms of gold from her residence.

Sources said the police were also questioning some girl students who were close to the principal and whose numbers were also saved in the cellphone of principal's cook Kishore Mandal.

A city-based industrialist, who had made three calls to Bawa on her cell on the day of the murder, was asked by the police not to leave the country till the case was solved, said sources.

SP (City-I) SK Kalia said they were getting some clues, but it was too early to say anything.
