A city court had earlier remanded Khwaja in 14 days of police custody. “We will go for a narco test shortly as we have some information that few of his associates are operating in and around the state,” said Rajiv Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police, STF.
“Pakistani and Bangladeshi passports have been recovered from Khwaja. He had plans to launch a terror attack in the middle of last year. However, we had foiled the attacks,” said Vinit Goyel, joint CP, STF. According to a senior STF official, Khwaja is said to have told investigators that a large number of highly indoctrinated jihadi Indians have been housed in Pakistan. Khwaja also reportedly told them he had met alleged Indian Mujahideen operatives Amir Reza Khan and Riyaz Bhatkal in Karachi a few months before the Mumbai terror attack.
