Chandigarh The Punjab CPM has decided to contest just one seat, Anandpur Sahib, for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, Charan Singh Virdi said today. The party is expected to announce the name of its candidate from the seat next week even as Maha Singh Rori is the likely candidate, said sources. The CPM has also ruled out any alliance with the ruling SAD-BJP combine. It’s also not open to an alliance with the Congress, the party said. The party will, however, ally with the CPI and political parties, including the JD (S) or the Lok Bhilai Party of Balwant Singh Ramoowalia.
