With this, the number of quacks caught in the city has gone up to 74.
Officials of the district health department have caught six quacks at Kamrej taluka and the procedure to file a complaint against them is going on.
The drive commenced in the city and rural areas on Sunday, and so far, the officials have caught 83 quacks at different villages of the district.
The district health officials have, meanwhile, found two cases of jaundice at Ishanpur village in Olpad taluka. Both the patients are undergoing treatment at a local government hospital.
District health officer Dr V R Gupta said: “We will also launch the drive to check quacks in Tapi district from Wednesday. Officials will visit dispensaries, hospitals and laboratories in that district and see whether the bio-medical waste is properly disposed or not.”
The SMC officials had seized eight kg of bio-medical waste at Bhatena in the Limbayat area and nearly 25 kg at Rander.
