A 22-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire after dousing kerosene at her residence at Ambegaon Budruk on Monday. Police said Varsha Kunal Beldare, daughter-in-law of corporator Shakarrao Beldare of NCP, had married Kunal a couple of years back. On Monday, around 10.30 am she burnt herself to death. In her dying declaration, she accused her mother-in-law Alka Shankarrao Beldare and sister Lata Todkar of harassing her and passing derogatory remarks about her family. She has a 10-month-old daughter. The police are investigating further.
