NOIDA Following a report in the Newsline on Saturday, the Noida Police have removed a poster carrying photographs of Krishna and Rajkumar from its website.

Till Friday, the website carried the poster alerting people to get the verification of their servants done, and implying that both men out on bail in the Arushi-Hemraj murder case are guilty.

Now, the poster has the blurred face of a young boy with two constables behind him.

Though the controversial poster was swiftly removed, a senior police officer said it was designed keeping the most talked about murder mystery in mind.

“The agency which designed the website had put the poster to make it ‘user-friendly’. And as senior officers do not usually see the website, the poster remained even after they got bail,” the officer said.

Meanwhile, Rajkumar’s lawyer Naresh Yadav said even though the poster has been taken off, the police showed insensitivity towards their fundamental rights.

He said he would approach the National Human Rights Commission and serve a court notice to the Noida Police demanding an explanation.

“I will approach the NHRC and demand a written explanation from the police for their casual approach towards human rights,” Yadav said.

But the Noida Police remained unfazed.

“Receiving notices from the National Human Rights Commission is a routine for the police; there is nothing to be scared of,” Noida Police spokesperson Manish Sharma said. “And we have a habit of dealing with court notices; they are part our job.”

Newsline tried to contact Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Naveen Arora, but he could not be reached.
