Day II of LCET Job Fair a big draw

Ludhiana, March 5 Various companies conducted their selection process on the second day of Job Fair 2008 organized by Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology (LCET), with the help of the Consultancy, Training and Placement (CTP) Cell.

The two-day mega event was organised on March 4 and 5 for the recruitment of engineers and managers. It also provided a common platform for facilitating the industry-institute interaction. About 800 students from B.Tech final year, Computer Science, Information Technology and Electronics and Communication from about 20 colleges of the region registered themselves for various recruitment processes at LCET campus.

The CTP Cell of the college has arranged for this mega recruitment process for MBA (Finance & Marketing) and Mechanical Engineers on the first day. The selection process conducted by various companies included company presentation, general interaction round, voice test (for BPO), short technical test, personal interview, HR round etc, where the students were evaluated for their general knowledge, technical skill sets and personality traits.

LCET Chairman Vijay Gupta, Director Dr JS Sohal and Principal Dr Pawan Kumar appreciated the efforts of the CTP Cell to organize Job Fair-2008. They also discussed the challenges in the industry, the needs for skilled manpower.

LCET CTP Cell Dean Sat Pal Sharma thanked the officials of the companies, TPOs and the faculty members for their cooperation in making the event a success.
