Ludhiana The District Bar Association (DBA), has approved of the step taken by the Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding the speedy disposal of pending cases. In a statement issued on Friday, DBA President Parupkar Singh Ghumman, said this will prove effective in time management.

Harpreet Sandhu, former Punjab additional advocate general and DBA legal spokesperson, said that with the introduction of this system, all new cases filed in various courts within the district, will come up for hearing before the concerned bench only after replies and counter replies have been filed by both the parties.

He added that this will also benefit advocates as they will not have to wait to file a reply in a case which might come up for hearing later.
