New Delhi Even as the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police is investigating the alleged DDA housing scam, the agency would also set up an internal inquiry, sources today said.

According to sources, a three-member committee headed by DDA Finance Member Nand Lal has been constituted to conduct this inquiry. The other two members on the team are Alok Swaroop, senior officer in DDA’s internal vigilance department, and B K Gupta, DDA’s deputy chief legal advisor. Post-inquiry, the committee is expected to submit a report within three days of beginning the investigations.

Though no possession would be given till all inquiries are completed, the DDA’s Housing department has sent a letter to all allotees to appear for physical verification by January 20. “We have told the allotees that they can appear on any Monday and Thursday till January 20 with a copy of their PAN card, voter’s identity card, ration card and if they have a passport, for verification,” DDA Housing Commissioner Asma Manzar said.

“All these documents will have to be attested by a gazetted officer.”
