Lucknow The state Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) raided a computer institute in Mau on Friday in connection with a death threat sent on the website of BJP leader L K Advani on February 4.

According to ATS officers, the institute was located in the Pyarepur area in Mau. The agency has questioned the institute owner, Sariq Masood, and seized his laptop for verification. His statement will be recorded at the police headquarters in Lucknow on Saturday.

“We have not arrested anyone. Sariq Masood was questioned in connection with the information collected by the investigative agency,” said Mau SP Ram Bharose.

A senior ATS officer said the institute was traced through its internet protocol address.

The one-paragraph threat had been signed off as Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. Following inputs from Central agencies, the state ATS had raided the institute.
